Dental specialists complete two to six extra years of training after dental school and usually work on referral from a general dentist, although most accept patients who call directly. Orthodontists straighten teeth with braces and clear aligners; endodontists handle root canals; periodontists treat gum disease and place implants; oral and maxillofacial surgeons extract wisdom teeth, place implants and do jaw surgery, often under IV sedation; prosthodontists rebuild smiles with crowns, bridges and dentures; denture centers focus on full and partial dentures, relines and repairs. Sedation and hospital dentists serve anxious patients and people with special needs, while TMJ and sleep-apnea dentists make oral appliances for jaw pain and snoring.

Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Albany follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We had a consult: Front end staff Olivia and Sophia are professional, friendly and courteous. And competent! Shannon was great too. Dr. Banchs spent a lot of time with us explaining everything and answering questions. I previously used RCE and they were excellent. Highly recommended!

If you want your root canal done right the first time, I definitely recommend Dr. Banchs of Root Canal Experts. He fixed a root canal of mine that wasn’t sufficiently done right by Dr. Simon of Precision Periodontics & Endodontics in Clifton Park. Also, not sure what a previous review was about that someone left named “A” left about 5 months ago. He’s an endodontist and specializes in root canals. You get crowns done by your general dentist. lol don’t be a moron

Total scam. Dr. B is more concerned with his ego. Says he will write something in a report back to a referring dr them doesn't and ignores all inquiries as to why. Office says to just text him but then he never responds. Consult higher than normal. Shame on dentists who refer their patients there. This guy just wants money for teeth whiteningand cosmetic.

Root canal Experts, Dr. Banchs and his staff were the upmost professional people I had experience with. I never had a root canal, they not only informed about each step they followed up with reminders of what I had to do pre op. There was absolutely no pain and within an hour or so I felt my self again. They are very caring and professional. I would go back to them again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend them. They are 5 star. Thank you Dr. Banchs and staff!!!

Amazing office, Doctor and staff ! I was referred to Dr.Banchs’ by my dentist who spoke about the trust in high quality level of work done in this office. The office is absolutely breath taking, the front staff Christine and Adrianna are so sweet and accommodating, and the vibe in the office is a fun and positive one. Dr. Banchs took his time in explaining complex material to me on our first consult and broke it down simple enough for me to understand. In the days leading up to my procedure, Dr. Banchs was attentive and responsive when I called into the office with an increased level of pain. He was willing to shift around patients to get me in Asap and offered options to reduce the pain in the mean time. The fist part of my procedure was incredibly comfortable, painless, and done with a graceful execution. I was well prepared and knew what to expect before hand. I was told that this was one of the best offices to go to to have Endodontic therapy and this is accurate, they truly are ! My fear of seeing a dental specialist was totally overcome in one visit. Thank you to Dr. Banchs and team for an A+ experience .
